One evening, when my then young sons were restless, I suggested talking until we got sleepy. Dylan needed a topic. How about what you'd like to do, as you get older, I offered. Without hesitation, Dylan replied, "Ok mom, but whatever we do we have to do it together".

Music to this mother's ears! Resisting the urge to scoop them up with hugs, kisses and tears, I launched into an idea.

"Luke likes to cook and Dylan is very social, so how about opening your own restaurant, where Luke is the chef, Dylan, the host. You could open just for lunch and that would give you the afternoon to play."

Another pressing issue arose: the name. Easy breezy. 'The Lambdoodle Café', lamb our nickname for Luke, doodle our nickname for Dylan.

The rest is history. Inspired by my sons, we've been telling these tales of our hearts ever since. We could always incite many a giggle while concocting creative menu items.

The Lambdoodle stories have been more than a salve for our family, healing us in ways that we could not have predicted. Providing great entertainment as well as ideas for what Luke might like to be or do, Lambdoodle opened up our lives and imaginations, never failing to make us happy. And, as we always say, when you're happy, EVERYTHING is possible!

So vivid our imaginations, the Lambdoodle Café, its patrons, menus, experiences, escapades and ambience are as real to us as any place we've visited. We reasoned that if we derived such fun and happiness from our stories, so too would you.

What began, as a bedtime story is now a book series. Current titles include: Lunch at The Lambdoodle Café; Triumph at The Lambdoodle Café; Magic at The Lambdoodle Café; Mystery at The Lambdoodle Café; Madness at The Lambdoodle Café. Stay tuned for future titles.

Available for readers of many flavors, the stories are written in both picture and chapter book formats. As soon as they're available, we'll alert you on the Home Page.

This area is all about fun! The Lambdoodle Café is a magical place where Luke is the Chef, Dylan, the host, and their friends, the diners. Luke's specialty is Giggle Soup, the recipe a closely guarded secret. The only thing he'll reveal is that it's delicious and once consumed makes you giggle! How could you resist?

When not cooking, Luke is a drummer in a band called The Excepitonals, who practice in the basement of the Café. The rehearsals are open to the public and everyone is welcome! Should The Exceptionals not be practicing, there's always the Sound Booth, just inside the front door, where anyone can sit and listen to the latest tunes.

The Café is peaceful, fun, and even has rocking chairs at each table; the tables round to give it a family feeling.

Thinking of the many wonderful, creative and fun experiences makes us so excited about the magical world that is The Lambdoodle Café. There will be so much going on, that you may never want to leave!

We don't mean to tease you, but surprises are the best! Here's a very tiny sample of what you might do when inside The Lambdoodle Café. Maybe you want to play basketball, or prepare some of Luke's great and silly menu items, ride Luke's horse Toby, or play in The Exceptionals! Get the idea?

As soon as we start serving, there will be a notice on the Home Page in the What's New button. Until then, we are very grateful for your patience. We think you'll agree that once we have our Grand Opening, it will have been worth the wait.
